Refractory heat-insulating modular block is made of felt or felt based on fire-resistant staple fiber from rocks. The products are formed from strips of material that are compressed in the package in the form of blocks of given sizes and densities. Sealing allows you to compensate for the shrinkage of the material, reduce the thermal conductivity of the material at high temperatures, and increase the material's application temperature. The temperature resistance of modular blocks, depending on the brand, ranges from +1260°C to +1500°C.

Modular blocks are installed on metal fasteners of various shapes or glued on inorganic glue and are intended for lining industrial furnaces for drying and firing various materials, insulation of vaults and walls of glass furnaces and other units.

Fibers are chemically resistant to the effects of acids and alkalis.
When used at high temperatures, it should be protected from the action of concentrated alkalis, hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids. Fibers are more resistant to temperature effects in oxidizing and neutral environments.
In a reducing environment, thermal insulation properties decrease.
