Gorkal cement

Refractory cement Gorkal (Горкал) of the brands Gorkal 40, Gorkal 50 and Gorkal 70 is a binder for the preparation of mixtures, solutions and concrete.

It is used in the creation of refractory, heat-insulating and especially strong structures due to its alumina composition. This cement is used as a binder in the preparation of mixtures, solutions and concrete. The mineral components of Gorkal cement and their stable chemical composition give the product special properties that allow it to achieve regulatory strength indicators in a short time.

Gorkal cement has high refractoriness, which allows it to be used for the construction of units and objects with high operating temperatures, up to 1700ºC.

The production of Gorkal cement is associated with the use of alumina clinker. The raw materials are bauxites containing aluminum oxide, as well as minerals containing calcium, silicon and iron oxides. After sintering and grinding, a white or gray powder is obtained. The numbers in the cement labeling indicate the percentage of aluminum oxide by weight:

• Gorkal 40 – 40%,
• Gorkal 50 – 50%,
• Gorkal 70 – 70%.

Gorkal cement is used in various industries and construction to create strong and fire-resistant structures. It can be used for the production of refractory concretes, coatings, mortars, mixtures, construction of foundations and monolithic structures, repair of buildings and bridges, as well as for other construction works where rapid strength gain and high fire resistance are required.
