Cardboard MKRK-500 made of fire-resistant fiber is produced on the basis of mullite-siliceous fibers obtained by melting pure aluminum and silicon oxides in an electric furnace with subsequent fiber formation by blowing. To give cardboard the necessary properties, an organic or inorganic binder is added to the fiber, the products are made by vacuum pressing.
MKRK-500 cardboard is an effective insulating material that is easy to process and is glued on inorganic glue. It is used as a heat-insulating and heat-compensating material, for the manufacture of refractory products of complex shape – spacers, diaphragms, screens.
During installation, take into account possible linear and volume shrinkage during heating.

MKRK-500 fibrous cardboard is chemically resistant to acids and alkalis. When used at high temperatures, it should be protected from the action of concentrated alkalis, hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids. Plates are more resistant to temperature effects in oxidizing and neutral environments. In a reducing environment, thermal insulation properties decrease.
