Comprehensive protection of the metal jet from oxidation

We offer a wide range of fehral heaters (FeSgAl). Fehral (Fe-Cr-Al alloy) – a more advanced material compared to nichrome, widely used in resistance electric furnaces for all industries (mechanical engineering, foundry and thermal workshops, production of ceramics and glass, drying workshops).
Fehral heaters are used in electric furnaces up to temperatures of 1400°C. It is an analogue of material A-1 of the KANTHAL company.
Advantages of fechral heaters compared to nichrome
The cumulative effect of all the above-mentioned factors leads to a significant decrease in the mass of the heater and, ultimately, to a decrease in its cost.
The plasticity of fekhral increases with increasing temperature, at a temperature of 800-1000 °C, the alloys are easily deformed under their own weight, so the heating elements must be installed on ceramic tubes. When heated to a temperature of 900-950 °C and higher, rapid grain growth occurs, which leads to irreversible metal crumbling, therefore spiral repair is carried out with great care, without removing the spiral from the furnace.
At a temperature above 1000 °C, fekhral can work in contact only with high-alumina refractory materials (with an aluminum oxide content of at least 50%). The performance of fekhral is ensured by a protective film with Al2O3 formed on its surface, therefore, when working in non-oxidizing environments, this protective film must be periodically restored by annealing in an oxidizing environment (in air).
