Basalt cardboard and soft plates are made of fire-resistant basalt fiber with the addition of an inorganic binder by filtration deposition method with simultaneous vacuum pressing and subsequent heat treatment (drying). These products are effective thermal insulation material. They are used as heat-insulating and heat-compensating material. They are easy to cover, cut into shapes, and stick on inorganic glues. Possible linear shrinkage during heating should be taken into account during installation.
