Made in accordance with GOST 6102-94, it is a canvas consisting of interwoven asbestos threads and connecting fibers (the basis of the latter can be cotton, viscose or mylar). The content of binder material in asbestos varies from 5 to 18%.
Features and benefits
The main advantages of asbestos fabric are its wear resistance, high strength and durability; it deserves special attention that these qualities are preserved at the temperature of the working environment, which reaches 450°С. The described properties determine the field of application of asbestos-containing fabric: it is used as a heat-insulating, heat-resistant, laying material, included in the construction of heating and other industrial equipment. Asbestos fabric serves as the basis of asbotextolites and asbestos plastics, which, in turn, are used in the production of friction discs, fuel pump blades and other products. Rubber gaskets, gasket rings and cuffs, heat-insulating clothing - these types of products are also produced using asbestos fabric. AT-2, AT-3, AT-4 brands include at least 81.5% of asbestos fiber, are used in the production of asbestos textiles, heat-resistant fabrics, industrial equipment products, and also as insulation.
